If you got the money to spend; you can't go wrong with the Engine Factory.  Their Sales Staff  were very helpful with my purchase.  He went over every little detail about my car with me, what my plans were with it, and really listened to me to what exactly I wanted.  From the time I made the order on the phone it took about a month for it to show up.  They called a week before it was suppose to arrive to let me know exactly what day, and approx. time it would deliver.  The engine shows up on a 18-wheeler with a drop gate platform that lowers it down to the ground, then the driver will wheel the engine into your garage on a pallet jack.

The motor is everything I wanted it to be, and then some.  I purchased the 418w small block with 515hp (carburetor), and put it in a 1991 Mustang GT.  Let me tell ya; I could not believe how much more power this thing had over a 302 motor.  The detail they put into their engines are absolutely beautiful.  They look even better in person than they do on the web site.  I was going to rebuild my 302 and put a supercharger on it, but after I added up everything that I wanted to do to it the price was going to be as much as a new motor, plus the time and aggravation of trying to build a engine, and not having all the right resources.

The process was so easy; the engine showed up, watched the video that came with (which as a lot of good info.), bolted my clutch, transmission, and headers up then dropped the whole thing down into the engine bay.  Didn't have to do anything, except I had to adjust the mixing screws and idle just a bit not a big deal.  My car is not a daily driver just a weekend cruiser, and I go drag racing with it every now and then.  Got it to run 11.83 at 121mph.   I put a rev limiter on it now, because the engine revs up so fast just with a pat at the gas. Really don't know what else to tell ya.  I am very pleased with my engine and have no regrets about it, other than I wish I had went bigger...lol.  Everytime I take it out cruising I get all kinds of compliments on the car especially when I open the hood.  People are so amazed how good it looks and the fact that it isn't your typical fox body 5.0 Mustang.  The engine factory will do you right, get you exactly what you want, and give you suggestions on your project.

Here are a couple of pictures of my car and a note to say that I am very pleased with this 351W install.

      351w Hi-Po Engine

To the Guys at the Engine Factory. I bought the 351W / 400 Horsepower Crate Motor which admit tingly I had my doubts of purchasing an engine over the internet. I'm glad I took the plunge. It had all the Goodies, Serpentine System with the A/C Compressor. I was greatly surprised when the engine arrived here in Sedona AZ. Everyone who ever sees it, loves it! It was put it into my '67 Modified Fastback Mustang.  Shelby American Inc. in Las Vegas did the installation. It fired right up and they too were impressed by the workmanship and detail. They offer a similar engine that cost close to 3 times the amount you charged. I did have some minor setbacks with an electric Fuel pump that was defective from the factory which you had no control over. But the way you backed your product was very impressive. You should expect to hear from other club members soon. I had the engine dynoed and it actually puts out more power (425HP)  than you had advertised. Overall Engine Factory exceeded my expectations. Thanks for all your help. The engine runs great, fast and with a deep rumble. It really makes the car what it is!

Just wanted to say thank you and the engine is great. Runs like a Bear.. A 650 Demon carb seamed to be a perfect match for this application. It took some getting use to drive it with the pedal being so touchy. I ran the 1-5/8" Hooker headers into 3" pipes to the 44 Flowmasters and 2-1/2" all the way out. Electric Fan and this thing really Rocks, Thank you so much it is truely way to cool.

Got a chance to look @ the engine and the video.

It LOOKS great. I will be replacing my nearly 40 year old  302 with your monster. Can't wait. Will send you photo's and info when it's completed.  This is the car it's going into.  Thanks for everything.

Ford Falcon 302 Ford Engine

I purchased a 302cu/350hp crate engine from your company several months ago. Quite honestly I was apprehensive buying off the internet. Not any more! The engine arrived timely, well packaged, and just as described. I dropped in in my 1963 Ford Falcon Convertible, replacing a tired old "stock" 289. After installing, three quick pumps to the carb and it fired right up. Sounds great exhausting through shorty headers (steering linkage won't allow long tubes...yet), flowmasters and 2 1/2" duals. With a C-4 from Jackson Racing in N.C., it'll "light em up" in first, second, plus pulls a nice chirp in third. Although I have a fair amount of driving time logged I still haven't pushed it full out, but man will this car scoot! Thanks for a great job, a fair price, and an easy transaction. Put me on your satisfied customer list.

Thanks for the help and courtesy service that you have provided me with.
The engine was everything I expected and a little more.  The installation
went very well and the car was running within a day of receiving the engine.
I look forward to the break-in period being complete so I can really feel
how the engine will perform, but I am sure 370 hp in a 66 fastback will be
plenty for me.  I have enclosed some pictures.  Thanks again.

Again thanks for the easy solution to our motor problems.  From the easy and quick ordering, to the on time delivery, and no hassel start after the installation,  it couldn't of  been any easier.

We only have about 150 miles on it so we really haven't goten on it yet, but as soon as we do I'll drop you another line to let you know what we think of Tim's (302 Ford) handy work.

Well I just finished, everything went pretty smooth. The motor fired right up and ran like a top! All I have to do now is take it down to the exhaust shop and have the pipes and flowmasters put on, I'm tempted to take it for a drive around the neighborhood, but with open headers, I wouldn't want to break any windows! I can't wait to get it out on the road, once again thanks for everything, Gerry.

I recommend getting an engine from these people, they are a family type business and take great pride in their work.
I received the engine as expected and they were more than patient with my question and concerns.  Tim is the person that build my engine and he even signed the block.  If  your willing to put your name on a product you must have some pride in your work

This engine should be Wild!! I am especially impressed with the support I received from the engine factory with any questions I had.
I would HIGHLY recommend anyone interested in any engine application to to the ENGINE FACTORY. It has been a pure PLEASURE doing Business with YA ALL as we say down here in Virginia. Just have to keep my FOOT out of the gas pedal, or I can see speeding Tickets all over the place.

Just wanted to tell you guys thanks for all of your help with my project.  All of my questions were answered and they were always friendly. The engine bolted right in with no problems, a true turn key engine. Now for the good stuff, my engine is awesome! The 400 hp 351w is a beast. This "healthy" engine has transformed my tired 289 Mustang into a lean, mean Camaro eat'n machine. Thanks guys and I will for sure get plenty of questions of where I got this engine, so I'll send them your way.

Thanks,

Hey guys, thanks so much for My 351W. It is installed and running very well in my Mustang Coupe. I've only put 103 miles on it so I don't know what it will do but I can feel the power. Just being patient now to complete the breakin period.

thanks again

Here is a video clip during the "First Start" party a week ago.  This is actually the third start attempt.  The "Officail" first start, it fired up and then immediately died.  Did not have the choke set.  Second attempt it fired on the first cylinder and purr'd like a kitten, OK LOUD LION.  Sounded great, not really too loud.  Nice lopy, throaty idle.  I was grinning ear to ear.  Oil pressure was good but I could not run very long as the radiator cap did not fit the filler "T" and was leaking.  New filler "T" is coming Monday with a billet cap.  Got the correct yoke for the driveshaft and installed it.  Could actually go for a quick go-cart run now but want to finish my dash and have everything buttoned up before I take that step.  Currently working on a glovebox, heater enclosure.  As soon as these are done I can cover the real dash with leather and do a final install of the gages and finish wiring.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you both for being so much help with my 375/302.  As you well know I installed it into a 1965 F-100 back in Nov 04 and had a bad run in with it vapor lockingwell after a change of intake and the addition of a spacer plate I think weve gotten the problem solved.  Both of your expert knowledge and commitment to the customer after the sale is amazing and refreshing (thank you).  I tell everyone where I got the motor from and your outstanding customer service and refer them to your web page.

Thank you again for all your help and customer satisfaction.
