How much time will it take to Install over a Carbureted engine?
Another half a days work. Running the Fuel Return Lines and fittings, O2 Oxygen sensor and Mounting of the external Fuel Pump and Filter, is the difference from the Carbureted engine. There will be a full set of instructions that are very simple to follow. The first 10-12 pages relate to details on hookup. The remainder of the information is based upon tweaking the system for better fuel economy or performance not mandatory to follow. The beauty of this system is that it's self learning so a laptop is not needed to get the engine running. When purchasing a the Ready to run Boss EFI engine from us we start the engines and the ECU self calibrates itself. We adjust the timing and fuel mapping. Engine Factory sets up the engine as simple as possible to make it a trouble free installation. Having some hands on skills helps.

What other items are needed to install the Engine?
Hook up of Fuel Return Lines, O2 Oxygen sensor, some splicing of wires may be necessary and Mounting of the external Fuel Pump and Filter. Vented Fuel Tank. Most tanks already have this.
Do I need to be experienced with Fuel Injection to Install the engine?
No you don't any prior experience. Just follow the directions in the manual, make certain there are no fuel leaks.
Does the extra cost over a Carbureted Engine merit using it?
Yes if drive your vehicle often, drive in extreme weather temperatures, fuel economy is importantant and a crisper throttle response.

Do I need a Laptop to Program the ECU? Will Engine Factory Live test Run the Engine?
No laptop needed to tune this engine. We will pre-run the engine ahead of time. To fine tune for fuel economy and performance it's available with a prong to plug into for programing with your laptop.
