What are the advantages / differences of the Road Race Engine
Canton Low profile baffled Oil pan with Windage Tray
Electronic Rev. Limiter
Barry Grant Road Race Carburetor
Braided Steel Fuel Lines
Oil pan: The stock 5 quart oil pan is more than sufficient for street driving and even some aggressive driving. Driving on a open race course creates the oil to do a lot sloshing back and forth so the extra baffling and extra 2 quart capacity can certain help.
Electronic Rev. Limiter: There is the potential for missing a shift and over rev an engine when pushing the car beyond it's capacity. We recommend keeping the Rev. Limiter at 6000 RPMs to avoid potential problems.
Barry Grant Speed Demon Carburetor: The Edelbrock Carburetors we use run great for the Street. Easy to tune and pretty maintenance free. When using the carb from Edelbrock for an aggressive Road Race application the float levels often need to be readjusted so the carb needs to be disassembled to do so. The Barry Grant Dual Feed Carb. is designed to handle wide fluctuations in turns.
Braided Steel Fuel Lines: The braided Steel Fuel lines are a little more suitable for extreme driving. AN Fittings keep things together tighter and transfers heat better.
