Hey y'all,
Just got the 302 engine you built for me installed in my '71 Bronco over the weekend. I am using an Edelbrock 289 Performer intake with a Holley 670 Truck Avenger carb, a Mallory Unilite ignition system, and Hedman ceramic coated headers. Also have a new heavy-duty 4 core radiator so cooling is not a problem. Engine is running really sweet, I'm putting some easy break in miles on it now, but I can tell this motor is gonna pull like hell when I get it in the mud, I'm really happy with it. Just for your info, behind the engine is a Centerforce II clutch, and a New Venture 3550 5-speed transmission. I've attached a pic of my 'beast', thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Well I just finished, everything went pretty smooth. The motor fired right up and ran like a top! All I have to do now is take it down to the exhaust shop and have the pipes and flowmasters put on, I'm tempted to take it for a drive around the neighborhood, but with open headers, I wouldn't want to break any windows! I can't wait to get it out on the road, once again thanks for everything, Gerry.

Guys,
About a year ago I bought your Ford 302 with the Edelbrock performer kit and
dropped it in this 74' Bronco. Well it's taken us about a year to get the
truck finished and ready to show everybody so I thought you'd want to see.
The engine is smooth as can be and mated to L&L Ultraflow headers with
custom dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers, not only is it beautiful to
look at but the sound is pure music. At 4000 rpm it will set off every car
alarm within a 1/4 mile. It drives a Ford AOD transmission with a stock
2.80 rearend (my only mistake, I should and will put a 3.20 or lower rearend
for some genuine head snapping acceleration) and at 65 mph is turning around
1850 rpm. I haven't done a mileage check and probably never will, but with
93 octane it's doing quite well.
Without your engine we'd never have the truck we wanted. It stops traffic
and when I lift the hood to show people the soul of this Bronco, it's
nothing but silence. It just leaves people speechless.
Thanks again,
Brett Lindsey

This is just a quick note to thank you for taking care of me last summer.
The engine is running great; I drove out to Kansas from NC in November. The
truck is a joy to drive!
Once again, thanks for working with me. I am more than
happy to give a great reference to anyone who contacts me about your
