#1. We start out showing you what a bottom of one of our short block looks like and building it up from there. The Short block consists of all the vital internal components. Crankshaft, Bearings, Pistons, Piston Rings, Camshaft, Timing Set Components. This Assembly has Power Forged Pistons and Forged I-Beam Connecting Rods making it a bulletproof bottom end. The rotating assembly has been balanced also. #2. Shown here is the top end of the engine. As seen the deck surface has been decked in reference to the Crankshaft Centerline. The Engine Block Receives 3 coats of high Temperature Paint. A High capacity Oil pan has been installed along with the High Volume Oil pump, Oil Screen and Oil Filter. A custom made crate is fitted to the dimensions of the Oil pan. #3. The Aluminum Cylinder Heads are now Installed. These are the Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads. Large Stainless Steel Swirl Polished Valves, Bronze Guides, Hardened Valve Seats, Guide Plates and the Intake Runners are CNC Ported. All new Fel-Pro Gaskets are used throughout. New High Flow Water Pump, Timing Case Cover along with the Harmonic Balancer. # 4. The True Roller Scorpion Rockers are Installed and adjusted with the polylocks in Place. This is a very rigid design that reduces Friction and frees up some extra Horses too.
# 5. The Cylinder Heads are installed, All Heavy Duty Head Bolts are used. The Roller Rockers are Fully Adjusted, New Hardened Chrome Moly Pushrods are used. Guide Plates are centered. The Edelbrock Performer RPM Polished Intake Manifold is Bolted down and Torqued in place. The proper Thermostat Housing is bolted down. The Dipstick and Tube put on also. |
