EZ EFI MORE TECH INFO
For years converting from carburetion to Electronic Fuel Injection struck fear into the heart of many that wanted to make the changeover. However, in recent years there’s been a move toward simplifying the process but it was still intimidating to many.
That was until now. The new EZ-EFI Self Tuning Fuel Injection System f provides a new and revolutionary way to make the change from carburetion to fuel injection. And the best news is that the process is simple and can be done in short order.

In the past, at the very least you would need a laptop and significant tuning experience to make the conversion, but those days are over. With the new EZ-EFI System, you get EFI technology that does all the work for you.
Installation is straight forward, and all that’s required is a simple hook up. Answer the basic setup Wizard questions on the included hand-held display and the system tunes itself as you drive.
The EZ-EFI comes with everything needed to install the system in only hours. Included with the system is the ECU, wide-band 02 sensor, wiring harness, fuel injectors, an optional fuel pump kit and other assorted components, including the innovative 4150 Throttle Body.
In addition to matching any carbureted manifold, the EZ-EFI Self Tuning Fuel Injection System also works with our original carburetor style throttle linkage and is ready to accept all OEM sensors. Best of all this system is available with fuel injectors in four different flow rates to tune to your specific engine.
The installation process is completed by plugging up the hand held EZ-EFI unit (included) and answering a few questions posed on the unit. When this is completed it’s “on the road again” with your car - now converted from carburetion to fuel injection.
EFI to Carb and Back Again
The EZ EFI Kit that includes a fuel pump, filter, lines, fittings, wiring harness, regulator, and fuel pressure gauge. You do need a return-style high pressure fuel system - the low pressure carbureted counterpart won’t cut it.
The wiring harness for the injectors, throttle position sensor, and intake air temperature sensor has to be plugged in. External connections for power, coolant temperature, the wideband O2 sensor, and RPM signal complete the wiring for the EZ EFI system.
The wiring is extremely simple. Heavy-gauge black and red wires for power and ground must be routed directly to the battery to avoid any electrical noise problems. Our Turnkey Engines includes a plug-and-play fuel pump relay harness that snaps into place and only requires a power wire connected to the fuel pump. The RPM input is one of the most important sensors and hooks directly to your ignition box output, or there is a signal converter for HEI-equipped vehicles included with the kit. All that is left is the serial cable plug for the display, the display power connection, and a wire to a 12 volt switched source that will turn the ECU on. There are also ground circuit provisions for A/C-equipped cars to raise your idle speed when the compressor is running, and an electric fan control with an adjustable activation temperature controlled by the ECU.
The fuel pump comes with its own harness that's grounded at the pump and connects on the power side directly to the EZ EFI fuel pump harness.
A simple menu screen asks you questions like the size of your engine, idle speed, fuel pressure, and number of cylinders. It will then prompt you to calibrate the TPS in idle and wide open throttle. The display will give you a target window to adjust your idle speed to by using the idle set screw on the throttle body, which is in the same place as it is on a 4150 carb. Once the idle is calibrated, further adjustment can be done directly through the hand-held display.
