"This is my 1982 Bronco, on the beach on Ocracoke Island, NC in September 2008. This was the twentieth anniversary of driving it there; my first time was on my Honeymoon! I've had the Bronco for 25-26 years (it started life with a 300ci/6, and no A/C), and it has an Engine Factory 351W 360HP/400FTLBS torque motor. I've now got about 40K miles on the engine. The engine cranks immediately, as soon as the starter engages, quicker than my 2005 Magnum RT. Absolutely no leaks, never needs the oil topped off-I've put exactly 1/2 quart of oil in it after pulling a camper from Morganton, NC to El Paso TX. That's it, on a fresh engine. I now get 22mpg at 65, with the A/C running. Thank you, Chris Nelson, for convincing me to put in A/C!
If any of you Ford truck guys are considering an Engine Factory motor-BUY ONE! With the serpentine belt set-up with P/S and A/C, the engine looks spectacular-even the wife likes it! While the Bronco gets a lot of compliments, popping the hood to show the engine is the killer.
People can't believe this brute has A/C, a carburetor, AND gets 22mpg!
Feel free to email me at: adrian.hendren@us.army.mil. I'll be glad to answer any questions you have!"

Well it's been about 2 years since I got the engine (only about
14 months of driving) and no complaints. The 408W did a best of ( with a full
tank of
gas , w/BFG DOT Drag Radials ) 12.5 sec.@ 116mph on the 1/4 mile (even
with new carpet and underlayment, spare tire, under coating
and just over 5000 miles on it). This is on a total ground up
restomod (every nut, bolt, washer, wire, switch, bearing,..........brand new and
assembled
myself) on my original high school car, a 1965 Mustang coupe that I've
owned since 1967. My wife and I dated in this car. Yeah, I'm 55 years
old, as I put it to my doctor each year "I'm 18 with 37 years experience"
! Great job! As my body man said "your one picky ass SOB" and you guys
met my standards. You guys are a class act ! I've won two 1st place and
three 2nd place here in the St.Louis area this year at various Ford Car Club
shows this year.

It's been a long time since we did business together, but I thought I'd drop you a quick note to say thanks again. After almost 2 years, I've finally got my car sorted out, and I finally got it out on the track for the first time last weekend. The 351w engine you built
performed very well, and I'm happy with the work you did for me.
Attached are a few pictures of my car, and more importantly, the engine.

I purchased a 302/373HP complete carbureted engine for my 1968 Mustang from the Engine Factory with several custom parts, including a custom ground cam, roller lifters, polished intake, high volume fuel pump and custom color. Not only was everything perfectly built to my order specifications but it was delivered early. It was complimented with a new 2-1/2 exhaust w /H-balance pipe, Hooker Super Comp full length headers, FlowMaster 40 series mufflers and 3-1/2 Megs tips, which brought every bit of the 302/373HP to life. It fired in less than 5 motor revolutions and was setup nearly perfectly. I live in Colorado at 5500 feet above sea level so a few minor mixture/idle adjustments had to be made. Ive since put nearly 600 miles on the new engine and have varied it from stop/start to a 300 mile round trip on a combination of freeway and mountain roads and elevations from 6000ft to 9500ft. This engine has not even hiccupped once and runs stronger than I ever imagined. I would highly recommend the Engine Factory to anyone whos looking for a quality product and a lot of fun. The experience was fantastic, the product was beyond expectations and the service was exceptional. Thanx Christian and Tim (engine builder), I cant wait to start it up again. You should see the heads the turn and the surprise on new Camaro owners faces when I leave them standing at the stop lights, it even gives my 2002 Jack Roush Stage 2 Mustang a go for its money. And this is not even ever going above 4K RPM yet, Wow..

Well it's been a year now
and I thought you would like to hear how the 351w 400hp
you sent me is doing. I have put on 6,830 miles on the motor. I am happy to say
the
oil pressure is still around 80 psi. as it tested at your shop. At an idle it
drops to about 55 to 60 psi. Over all I have been extremely happy with the
motor, your staff . When I talked to you the 1st. time you helped me through the
entire
process. This was my first time ordering something this big on-line.
I have recommeded the Engine Factory to anyone asks. I have attached a few
pictures for you also. Oh by the way also saw the 383 stroker that was sold at
Barrett Jackson this
year. I was impressed when I saw the Engine Factory name displayed. Once again
thank you for the great engine and service you gave me.

Tim - The 275 hp Ford 302 I ordered from you runs
perfectly. When I saw it in the crate with the chrome valve covers, chrome
oil pan, chrome oil filler cap, PCV valve installed, oil filter installed,
spark plugs installed, oil in the engine and Tim's signature on the side of
the block, I was sure I would be satisfied. And that I am! Many thanks for
the on-time delivery and the superb workmanship. I couldn't be happier, and
have told my cousin, who is still running his "purchased new" '65 Mustang
Fastback (has had one crankshaft regrind) where to get an engine when the
time comes! Again, thanks for the great job!

The guys at the Engine Factory are
super. Took all my information (ok and Money) and was very eager to help me
out. They have supplied many engines to the FFR folks. The delivery was
super and with no damage.
I would recommend them to anyone who is going the non donor route. I looked
into the options of other crate engines and by the time you add on all the
extras I would have paid the same with out the professional installation. Mine
is a complete drop in and run engine with 100 amp chrome alt, MSD electronics,
Edelbrock carb, intake, heads, chrome front sump oil pan, and polished alum
valve covers (cobra powered by ford)..
Good overall price for something that is 500 hp and ready to drop in

Engine Factory:
I'm so pleased with the 347 stroker engine that you sold me. Relative to performance....it is awesome!!! The stroker blows my Bronco (weight over 4400 pounds) down the road without breaking a sweat and just eats up the mountain passes without hardly giving it any extra gas. I doubt if I will ever have to hit the passing gear in normal driving. I did try it out once, pushing it to the floor for a second.... when it kicked in, it just exploded!! In fact, it sort of shocked me, not being used to that kind of power! The biggest surprise (and nicest) is the increase in my gas mileage. It has almost doubled! Since I am burning the highest octane I can get at the pumps and considering the price of gas, it is really a bonus! I imagine it should have been somewhat expected since I now have an engine that can really breath and doesn't have to work nearly as hard as the 302 it replaced. (Also, there is no exhaust pollution crap left that originally came with the car... you can open the hood, find the engine and have plenty of room to work on it yourself and don't have to take it to some dealership and hook it up to their computers and pay $75.00 an hour!)
Well, That is it. Just thought you might like to know how things turned out. Again I want to thank you for the manner in which you do business. I will try to steer any business I can your direction in the future. Your video was appreciated and it is a nice touch for your customers.

Guys,
About a year ago I bought your Ford 302 with the Edelbrock performer kit and
dropped it in this 74' Bronco. Well it's taken us about a year to get the
truck finished and ready to show everybody so I thought you'd want to see.
The engine is smooth as can be and mated to L&L Ultraflow headers with
custom dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers, not only is it beautiful to
look at but the sound is pure music. At 4000 rpm it will set off every car
alarm within a 1/4 mile. It drives a Ford AOD transmission with a stock
2.80 rearend (my only mistake, I should and will put a 3.20 or lower rearend
for some genuine head snapping acceleration) and at 65 mph is turning around
1850 rpm. I haven't done a mileage check and probably never will, but with
93 octane it's doing quite well.
Without your engine we'd never have the truck we wanted. It stops traffic
and when I lift the hood to show people the soul of this Bronco, it's
nothing but silence. It just leaves people speechless.
Thanks again,
Brett Lindsey
