Getting what you Pay For!!

Being in the engine business for 40+ years we've seen our share of changes. The internet is one of them; the internet is a great tool for finding just about anything. It has helped our business grow considerably. In fact, we have shipped engines to every time zone in the world. The benefits of course are you can shop at your leisure, compare pricing and products with a click of a mouse. The downside of it is any person or company can come across as being the biggest and most reputable company in the world.

Lets face it were all looking for the best deal these days, but are you getting what your paid for?  More often than not the answer is no!

Case in point; we had a customer recently call us on our 347 / 425HP Engine. Point blank he asked why is your engine a $1,000 more than a competitor? , they have the Same components and Same Horsepower.  Hmm Really?  Engine Factory buys factory direct at the best discounts in the industry so how is this knockoff company selling so much cheaper?  The devil is in the details.

We have found an engine priced thousands less, the components are simply cheap. This was indeed the case with the Cylinder Heads and Intake Manifold. They're using a cheaper Chinese brand. Advertised as "Performance Cylinder Heads with Big Runners and Performance Intake Manifold"  they typically run $900 less than the Edelbrock Heads we use.  Big Valves and flow numbers look impressive but The castings are poor quality that lead to cracking plus they often have warped sealing surfaces causing gasket leaks. Another weak point is the Studs and Rocker Arms. No name "Performance Aluminum Rockers" have a lot of sloppy play and cheap studs break. We've seen this first hand. Engine Factory exclusively uses Comp Rockers and ARP Studs on all our Street Performance Engines. (Compare here).  So combine lower quality parts, little to no customer service and no real knowledge of engines, you do get what you pay for.

Items like the Braided steel Fuel lines, Fuel pumps, pulleys, accessories, thermostat housing, ignition, Carburetors, testing running, complete Fuel injection systems that are fitted on most of our engine packages is what separates Engine Factory . This makes for a much easier and smoother installation.
